Louis-Pierre Desjardins wins the prestigious Volunteer of the Year Award at the RJCCQ Gala

More than 500 people gathered at the Gelber Conference Centre in Montreal to celebrate the excellence, creativity and audacity of Quebec's next generation of business leaders as the Regroupement des jeunes chambres de commerce du Québec (RJCCQ) unveiled the 16 winners of its prestigious annual "Grands Prix de la Relève d'Affaires" Gala.

Louis-Pierre Desjardins won the Volunteer of the Year award, which recognizes a candidate who acts within the young chambers and youth wings as a volunteer and who has participated in several activities, projects and events. The evaluation criteria considered were the number of hours invested, the quality of the volunteer's contribution, his ability to integrate into the business community and the way he innovates within the young chamber and youth wing.

Mr. Desjardins, past president of the Youth Wing and director of the CCITB for the past 5 years, is strongly involved, having sat on the board of directors of the RJCCQ from 2012 to 2015 and on the board of directors of the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (FCCQ) from 2015 to 2017. More recently, he participated in the "Les Bâtisseurs: un défi à la fois!" project of the Aile Jeunesse in addition to other charitable implications.

Mr. Réal Couture, president of the CCITB, wanted to "congratulate Louis-Pierre Desjardins for the important contribution, the dynamism and the new ideas that they bring to the organization.
